~Flea Market Find~French Enamelware~Part 2

Call me crazy, but I could not help going to the Long Beach Flea Market yesterday in the pouring rain!  I was so thrilled to see two of my favorite sellers, Uber Chic and Brothers of Industry....YES selling in the rain!  I should have taken a picture of all us "die hards".    Rain coats, umbrellas, rubber boots,  tents and my trusty shopping cart!  We were unstoppable!
Staying with my French Enamelware theme, I thought I would share my flea market find from yesterday.  I purchased this beautiful Chocolate Pot from Brothers of Industry.  I actually had my eye on it last Sunday when I was at the Rose Bowl Flea Market, but I bought so many other things from them...I forgot about the Chocolate Pot!  So I was so excited to see them yesterday with the chocolate pot!  These are very hard to find here in the U.S.
Isn't she pretty?
It looks like a coffee pot, but a chocolate pot has a wooden handle sticking out the back.
Look at how beautiful she blends with my other pink enamelware!
Another view that shows my body pitcher and wash bowl
I'm so happy I made the trip down to Long Beach yesterday!  That makes 82 pieces in my collection!  If you get a chance stop by and say hello to Brothers of Industry...they have some really cool things!  They will be at the Alameada Flea Market on Jan. 2 2011 and at the Rose Bowl on Jan. 9 2011.  If you would like to check out there new blog here is the linkBrothers of Industry Blog become a follower and tell them I sent you!  They also have a great website and here is the link Brothers of Industry website...so many cool things!  Also linking to White Wednesday over at kathleen's Faded Charm check out all the beautiful entries here.

~My Favorite Collection~ French Enamelware

Wanted to change things up a bit and show you my favorite collection.  I've been collecting  French Enamelware for over 15 years now.   Every time I walk into my kitchen I admire my collection.  Every piece was hand selected and most were sent from France individually!  I have tried to keep my collection to rose pieces, as most of you know how much I enjoy my garden.  Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.

I love French Enamelware mixed with rose water color paintings and French Toleware Trays.

I found this beautiful 4 piece RARE set at the Agoura Antique Mart in Agoura Hills Ca.

I have 10 of these beautiful utensil holders hanging in my kitchen as well....most have a beautiful rose detail and some of these date to the early 1900's!

One of my favortie sets is the Rose Garland pattern....RARE and very hard to find!  I also love the Rose Pansy collection.

I hope you have enjoyed peeking at my Favorite collection!  Have a beautiful day!  Linking to Cindy's Romantic Home Show and Tell Friday click here to view.

What says holidays, like champagne, chocolate dipped strawberries, Italian meatballs and antiques?  This past Saturday November 20th from noon til 6:00pm was the annual Agoura Antique Mart's Open House.  The store was decked out for the event.  Here are a few pictures we were able to capture.
Here is the Entrance to the store, isn't this sled to die for??  Wanted to share this beautiful display with my friends at Faded Charm for White Wednesday!!  Click here   (Be sure to click on the picture to enlarge)

The band was playing Christmas music on the front walkway, while shoppers were browsing the booths.

Dustin, Charley and Lauren brought cookies and candy and displayed them in these military bread pans.  These are a big hit for the holidays!  Great when used for forks, spoons, knives and linens on your holiday buffet.  Available in our booth!

~OUR New Booth at The Agoura Antique Mart~

Pinch Me! Please!  I never in a million years thought I would be blogging to you today that we now have a booth at the Agoura Antique Mart.  I'm so HONORED to be a part of, in my opinion, the best antique mall in all of California.   I've known Maria Bartolet since the day she became the owner more than 16 years ago.  I've been an antique collector and buyer for more than 35 years, shopping at The Agoura Antique Mart and buying for at least 16 years.  Located in the Whizin's  Center in Agoura Hills, Ca. please stop by when you are in the neighborhood.

Some vignettes of our booth
One of my favorite pieces, antique file cabinet from Santa Monica City Hall  Circa 1912 dated!  Great piece for an industrial office or loft space.  I love the vintage luggage on top.  Here is another picture of the cabinet.
and this one too!
This rustic yellow hutch was imported from Italy.  Lots of storage, plate rack and drawers.  Beautiful barbola triple mirror, lots of rose paintings, water color and oils, English biscuit jars and rose tie backs.  Ohh and can't forget the Italian Toleware.
We found this antique sled at an Estate Sale and thought it was perfect for Christmas Holidays!  These sleds look so cute inside or out.  I love them propped up by the entrance of your home!  Way too cute!

I love vintage luggage and old trunks, so you will see lots of these items in my booth!   I just found these lemon crate ends with great graphics.  Large black and gold scale is to die for!
another pic of that great scale!
I love to display items in old dental cabinets...when I found this one...I almost fell over!  It is in perfect vintage condition.  This one is from my own personal collection.  I put large statues in these and do a vignette in itself.  I love to put the etched mirrors as a backdrop.  I had set the booth up with a beautiful angel statue, but it sold before I could take a picture, so for now I have an antique Santos in there with some etched mirrors.
I recently went on a buying trip to Oregon, and found this adorable child's desk.  This is an amazing piece, all hand pin striped all original paint.  The blackboard folds down to become a flat surface (how cute is that?)  This cute desk dates back to 1945, any child would be so lucky to have this piece of history!  It even has a drawer and cute metal shelves on the side.
While we are on the subject of children, those of you that know me.......know that I love anything French! Here is another of my favorite finds, a beautiful French Iron crib/bench.  This is an adorable baby crib, but the best part is...you can take the side rail off and use it as a bench.  There is a beautiful metal barbola piece on the headboard and footboard too.  The original ticking mattress is included!  All new cover and bolster pillow also included.
Before I get to winded and make this post way tooo long....I saved the best for last!  This is an Italian Buffet cabinet.  This buffet is amazing and beautiful!  The color is that gorgeous Swedish gray/blue....and the entire front of this buffet is hand carved!  You have to see it in person...it truly is amazing!  Above it is a matching architectural mirror.
and one more!
ok, just one more thing!  I love these vintage sheet music wreaths....perfect for the up coming holidays!
and here we display two back to back!
Hope you enjoyed the post today.  If you see anything you like please don't hesitate to call the store and ask if it is still available (818) 706-8366.  If you have time stop by The Agoura Antique Mart Blog here and tell Maria I sent you!   Be sure to become a follower, as I try to post twice a week!  Thanks, xokathee
